New York, Love of my Life

Oder soll ich lieber sagen, New York my Boyfriend?!

Ich weiß es nicht genau, denn meine Lieblingsstadt ist und bleibt Berlin! Ich bin zwar lange nicht mehr da gewesen und ich denke auch, dass es sich verändert hat, aber ich glaube, der Grund weshalb ich mich in diese Stadt verliebt habe ist bleibend!!! Für immer! Ich spiele einfach seit Jahren mit den Gedanken wieder zurück zu ziehen, aber irgendwas lässt mich nicht gehen und ich kann nicht beschreiben was das ist!? Vielleicht ist es die Vernunft oder die Angst, die mit dem Älter werden dazu gekommen ist! Ich weiß es nicht, aber ich denke mir, aufgeschoben ist nicht aufgehoben und irgendwann wird sich diese Möglichkeit wieder ergeben!

Aber ein ähnliches Gefühl, der Freiheit und der Erreichbarkeit des Unmöglichen, habe ich auch jedesmal wenn ich in New York bin. Selbst wenn ich nicht nach Manhatten reinfahre oder laufe und nur in Brooklyn bleibe und da durch die Strassen laufe! So wie dieses Mal.

Ich liebe diese Stadt einfach, auch wenn Amerika für mich irgendwie eine Farce ist! Das ist aber ein ganz anderes Thema. 🙂

Wobei! Ein Beispiel würde ich doch ganz gerne geben.

Auf dem Markt auf dem wir waren gab es ganz viele „organic“ Tomaten, ich wollte wissen, was damit gemeint ist. Damit ist gemeint, dass es zwar biologisch ist, aber nicht ohne Genmanipulation! Ich frage mich dann, ob das dann „organic“ ist.?!

Or shall I rather say, New York my Boyfriend?!

I don´t really know, because my most favorite City in this World is still Berlin. Though I haven’t been there for a long time, and I think Cities changes like people, I still believe the reason I feel in Love with Berlin is still the same! Its still in the Back of my mind to move back there!!! I wonder what holds me back from moving, I really can’t tell?! Maybe it´s the fear that comes when getting older or the common sense that comes when getting older too!! Growing up, is a trap!!

Almost the same feeling New York gives me, all the time I am there, I fell Free and like Everything, Everything is possible when I am there. Maybe it is the smell in the Air! I don’t know, but I love it!

I would move here in a second but America sometimes feels like a fake. Which is a different Story but to make a point here a small example:

We went to this Market outside at Brooklyn. They said the Tomatoes were „organic“, curious as I am, I asked what that meant. They said, it´s all Organic, meaning something like natural, but still they used genetically modified stuff to grow the tomatoes. For me this is not „Organic“

Aber diese Tomaten sehen hervorragend aus!!!

Diesmal haben wir nicht all zu viel Spannendes in New York erlebt. Wir sind nur in Brooklyn geblieben und haben uns ein wenig umgeschaut. Gefrühstückt haben wir bei Le Pain Quotidien, ich liebe diesen Laden, gerade in Amerika! Zwar etwas überteuert, aber was will man machen, der Brotaufstrich ist der Wahnsinn!! Als Veganer kann man da Super essen!

This time, we didn’t to any fancy stuff in New York! We just walked around and spent the time on the streets of Brooklyn. We had a Breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien, my place to be in America. I think it´s a bit expensive but I don’t need to go there if I complain. But the gluten free Bread and the vein food is just to die for!! I love it too much! As a Vegan I can just recommend this place!

Danach sind wir in den Hights etwas spazieren gegangen und haben uns da die Gegend angeschaut. Kaum zu glauben, was man manchmal so findet, mitten auf den Straßen ein wunderschöner kleiner Garten mit Blick auf die Brooklyn Bridge.

After our meal, we took a stroll down to the Hudson River and enjoyed the Skyline-View of Manhattan! then we went to the Hights and discovered the some Corners of Brooklyn. We stepped into a beautiful Garden with View on the Brooklyn Bridge. Amazing!

Diesmal war es leider etwas unspektakulär, aber das Gefühl wieder da zu sein und auch einfach mal nichts zu machen, macht diese Stadt zu meinem Zuhause! Das ich nicht den Drang habe tausend Turi-Attraktionen machen zu müssen und einfach das genießen zu können, was ich schon kenne, das macht New York zu meinem Boyfriend. Das ist wie an einem Samstagabend, zu zweit auf der Couch zu lümmeln und einfach TV zu gucken ohne raus Feiern zu gehen! Das ist Quality-Time, vom Feinsten!

Ende diesen Monats bin ich wieder da und plane ein paar Rooftopbars zu erkunden. Oder die restlichen Museen zu besichtigen! We will see. Auf alle Fälle freue ich mich sehr darauf meinen Freund wieder zu sehen!

Yes This time my New York Visit was quite unspectacular, But this is what makes this City my home!!! I can just walk around without having the feeling to packing my  short timetable with sightseeing. I can just walk around and see the things I already know, and enjoy them! It´s like spending time with my Boyfriend at home watching TV without going out to a fancy party! That´s what I call Quality- Time!

And on the other Hand at the end of this month I will be back again and on my List are some Rooftopbars! Before it gets too cold! We shall see!!

Looking forward to seeing  my Boyfriend again
